...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois... Wabash River at Covington down to Riverton. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana... Illinois... Wabash River at Mount Carmel. .Minor flooding continues along portions of the Wabash River following heavy rainfall earlier this week...that totaled generally two to four inches across western central Indiana. Flooding will end at Covington tonight...with minor flooding continuing at Montezuma and most points downriver into this weekend or next week. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until Sunday morning. * IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Montezuma agricultural levee is overtopped. Fourteen hundred acres of low bottomlands flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 17.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 PM EDT Thursday was 17.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Saturday evening and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
