...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana and Illinois... Wabash River from Montezuma to Riverton. .Lowland flooding will continue along a part of the Wabash River in western Indiana this weekend, and likely conclude by noon Monday. The crest as of early Saturday afternoon is nearing Vincennes. Flooding will likely end near Montezuma and Terre Haute by this evening. Rain chances Sunday night through the end of the week ahead could bring additional rises to area rivers. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Wabash River at Montezuma. * WHEN...Until late tonight. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Several hundred acres of bottomlands along the right bank from the mouth of Sugar Creek to northern edge of Montezuma begin to flood. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:45 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 14.6 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 11:45 AM EDT Saturday was 16.4 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late this afternoon and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
