...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...
Kankakee River at Dunns Bridge affecting Porter and Jasper
Counties.
Kankakee River at Shelby affecting Newton and Lake IN Counties.
For the Kankakee River...including Dunns Bridge, Shelby...Minor
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Kankakee River from Near I-65 and De Motte downstream to
IL/IN state line, including the Shelby gauge.
* WHEN...Until early Tuesday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 11.5 feet, Low-lying residences are threatened along
Bluegrass Road east of Sumava Resorts and along Westwood Drive and
Island Boulevard near Shelby.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 11.4 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 8:45 PM CDT Friday was 11.4 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to remain near 11.4 feet
through Saturday before falling below flood stage Monday
evening. The river will continue falling through next week.
- Flood stage is 10.5 feet.

A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or
may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the
warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property.

rainfall forecast, or any additional rainfall after 24 hours, may
cause changes to these river forecasts.
