Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...The following county, in east central Indiana, Fayette.
* WHEN...Until 300 AM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Some low-water crossings may become impassable.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1039 PM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated
heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5
and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flooding impacts will
continue, but no additional rainfall is expected.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Connersville, Glenwood, Columbia, Bunker Hill, Nulltown,
Alpine, Everton, Alquina and Springersville.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
