* IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, Floodwaters affect Riverside Park on the
north side of Janesville and South River Road on the south side of
Janesville. Floodwaters affect low spots on South River Rd on the
south side of Janesville. Floodwaters affect a home on South
Christian Rd on the east side of the river in the Afton area.
There is extensive lowland and agricultural land flooding in the
Afton and Janesville areas.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
