At 358 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Elvaston, or near Carthage, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Weather spotters reported a funnel cloud near Elvaston, Illinois at 355 PM. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This dangerous storm will be near... Carthage, Ferris, Burnside, Denver, and Bentley around 405 PM CDT. Fountain Green and Webster around 410 PM CDT.
