At 855 PM CDT, a severe squall line capable of producing both tornadoes and extensive straight line wind damage was located near Normal, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. These dangerous storms will be near... Bloomington and Normal around 900 PM CDT. Towanda around 905 PM CDT. Colfax around 920 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Cooksville, Anchor, Weston, Cropsey, Kappa, and Central Illinois Regional Airport. This includes the following highways... Interstate 39 between mile markers 0 and 10. Interstate 55 between mile markers 158 and 187. Interstate 74 between mile markers 118 and 132.
