Central Stephenson County in northwestern Illinois... * Until 830 PM CDT. * At 744 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Eleroy, or 9 miles west of Freeport, moving east at 40 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... Freeport, Cedarville, Eleroy, Red Oak, Scioto Mills, Damascus, Bolton, and Stephenson County Fairgrounds around 750 PM CDT. Dakota, Albertus Airport, Dakota Dornink Airport, and Winneshiek around 755 PM CDT. Rock City and Ridott around 800 PM CDT. Other locations in the path of this tornadic thunderstorm include Davis.
