Description:
At 544 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near Lewistown to near Rushville, moving east at 45
mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
These severe storms will be near...
Rushville, Astoria, Vermont, and Ipava around 550 PM CDT.
Browning around 555 PM CDT.
Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Camden, Frederick, Huntsville, Bluff City, Ray, Duncan Mills, Table
Grove, and Liverpool.
Instruction:
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 900 PM CDT for central and
west central Illinois.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
