Description: 
At 922 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Fairview, or 11 miles west of Canton, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Canton, Lewistown, Abingdon, Farmington, Cuba, Avon, Yates City, St. David, Williamsfield, Fairview, London Mills, Maquon, St. Augustine, Dunfermline, Bernadotte, Smithfield, Bryant, Norris, Liverpool, and Marietta. This includes Interstate 74 between mile markers 57 and 67.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1100 PM CDT for central and west central Illinois. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
