Southeastern Jefferson County in south central Illinois... * Until 945 PM CDT. * At 844 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 6 miles east of Salem to near Ashley, moving east at 55 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. * Locations impacted include... Mount Vernon, Rend Lake Area, Wayne City, Bluford, Cisne, Ina, Bonnie, Jeffersonville, Belle Rive, Sims, Nason, Keenes, and Johnsonville. This includes the following highways... Interstate 57 in Illinois between Mile Markers 81 and 92. Interstate 64 in Illinois between Mile Markers 78 and 91.
