At 950 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from North Chicago to Rolling Meadows to Wayne, moving east at 60 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Chicago, Elgin, Waukegan, Cicero, Arlington Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Palatine, Skokie, Des Plaines, Berwyn, Mount Prospect, Hoffman Estates, Oak Park, Glenview, Elmhurst, Lombard, Buffalo Grove, Bartlett, Ohare Airport, Streamwood, Carol Stream, Hanover Park, Wheeling, and Park Ridge.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for northeastern Illinois. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. Prepare immediately for damaging winds and deadly cloud to ground lightning. Seek shelter inside a well-built structure. Stay away from windows.
