Description: 
At 731 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Edgington, or 12 miles north of Aledo, moving east at 50 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Rock Island, Andalusia, Reynolds, Taylor Ridge and Edgington. This includes Interstate 280 near mile marker 11.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northwestern Illinois...and east central Iowa. A tornado watch remains in effect for the warned area. Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, if one is spotted act quickly and move to a place of safety inside a sturdy structure, such as a basement or small interior room. To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in the Quad Cities.
