River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Canton.
* WHEN...Until Friday afternoon.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 15.4 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 15.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 11.3 feet Wednesday, May
06.
- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
