...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois...Missouri...
Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau
.Runoff from recent heavy rain upstream will cause minor flooding to
develop along the Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau. The river is
forecast to rise above flood stage Thursday morning and crest near
36.5 feet on Sunday.
For the Mississippi River...including Cape Girardeau...Minor
flooding is forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Cape Girardeau.
* WHEN...From Thursday morning to Wednesday, May 06.
* IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, The flood gate on Themis Street closes.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 29.2 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Thursday morning to a crest of 36.5 feet Sunday evening.
It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday, May 06.
- Flood stage is 32.0 feet.
