Mississippi River at Saverton.
...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...Missouri...
Mississippi River at Winfield.
Mississippi River at Clarksville.
Mississippi River at Hannibal.
Mississippi River at Louisiana.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Mississippi River at Grafton.
* WHEN...Until Tuesday, May 05.
* IMPACTS...At 21.5 feet, In Portage des Sioux, MO, Le Sieur Street
leading to the Marina and to Our Lady of the River Statue is
flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1:00 PM CDT Monday the stage was 20.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending
at 1:00 PM CDT Monday was 20.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.5 feet
Thursday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Sunday
evening.
- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even
higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor this
developing situation and issue follow up statements as conditions
change.
