At 738 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Elsberry, Hardin, Fieldon, Batchtown, Hamburg, Paynesville, Annada and Nutwood. This includes the following State Parks... Mississippi River State Fish and Wildlife Area and Pere Marquette State Park. This includes the following streams and drainages... South Fork Guinns Creek, Bryants Creek, Otter Creek, Michael Creek, Mississippi River, Sugar Creek, Prairie Creek, Shelton Creek, Guinns Creek, Possum Creek, Dry Fork, Old Kings Lake Creek, Little Ramsey Creek, South Fork Otter Creek, Macoupin Creek, Knox Branch, Sandy Chute, Illinois River, Ramsey Creek, Page Branch, Camp Creek and Cole Creek.
