Description: 
At 447 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Karnak, or 9 miles north of La Center, moving southeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Paducah, Metropolis, Karnak, Barkley Regional Airport, West Paducah, Kevil, Joppa, Olmsted, and New Grand Chain. This includes the following highways... Interstate 24 in Kentucky between Mile Markers 1 and 2. Interstate 24 in Illinois between Mile Markers 34 and 38.
Instruction: 
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
