Description:
At 1058 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Equality, or 7 miles south of Eldorado, moving east at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Morganfield, Sturgis, Shawneetown, Breckinridge Center, Uniontown,
Ridgway, Equality, New Haven, Cave-in-Rock, Waverly, Elizabethtown,
Old Shawneetown, Junction, Eddyville, Karbers Ridge, and Gross.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 500 AM CDT for southern and
southeastern Illinois...southwestern Indiana...and western and
northwestern Kentucky.
