Description: 
At 613 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Illinois City to Carman, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. These severe thunderstorms will remain over mainly rural areas of central Henderson, Des Moines, southeastern Louisa and northeastern Lee Counties, including the following locations... Augusta, Kossuth, 4th Pumping Station Campground, Elrick Junction, Welter Recreation Area, Spring Grove, Kingston, Wever, Starr's Cave Park and Preserve, and Burlington Regional Airport.
Instruction: 
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for northwestern and west central Illinois...and southeastern Iowa. Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building.
