* Until 700 PM CDT.
* At 605 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Walcott, or 7
miles east of Durant, moving east at 40 mph.
THIS IS A DESTRUCTIVE STORM FOR THE Quad Cities in Iowa and
Illinois.
HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect
considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles.
Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Davenport, Moline, Rock Island, Bettendorf, Clinton, East Moline,
Silvis, Eldridge, Camanche, Le Claire, Hampton, Port Byron,
Walcott, Erie, Blue Grass, Garden Plain, Rapids City, Albany,
Princeton, and Long Grove.
This includes the following highways...
Interstate 74 in Iowa between mile markers 1 and 5.
Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 280 and 306.
Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 5.
Interstate 74 in Illinois near mile marker 1.
Interstate 88 between mile markers 1 and 19.
Interstate 280 between mile markers 1 and 7.
Instruction:
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM CDT for northwestern
Illinois...and east central Iowa.
