...The National Weather Service in Indianapolis IN has issued a
Flood Warning for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois...
Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
.Rainfall amounts of one to two inches across much of the Wabash
basin Tuesday and Tuesday night added to previous heavy rainfall
which will bring minor lowland flooding back to some of the Wabash.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* WHEN...From Thursday evening to early Tuesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, River is bankfull in all locations. All
oil field production ceases with the exception of pumping units on
substructures. Access to these are by boat only. Agricultural
losses increase dramatically. Farmers move livestock to higher
ground. City of Mount Carmel leaves flood gates B and C in year
round.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 PM EDT Wednesday /8:45 PM CDT Wednesday/ the stage
was 17.8 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow evening to a crest of 19.6 feet early Saturday
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday
morning.
- Flood stage is 19.0 feet.

Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
