...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...Illinois...
Wabash River at Covington down to Riverton.
...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
Illinois...
Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
.Minor flooding continues along portions of the Wabash River
following heavy rainfall earlier this week...that totaled generally
two to four inches across western central Indiana. Flooding will
end at Covington tonight...with minor flooding continuing at
Montezuma and most points downriver into this weekend or next week.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Wabash River at Terre Haute.
* WHEN...Until Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, A few sloughs and a drainage have water in
them in the vicinity of SR 63 on the west side of the Wabash River.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:30 PM EDT Thursday /8:30 PM CDT Thursday/ the stage was
17.8 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:30 PM EDT Thursday /8:30 PM CDT Thursday/ was
17.9 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
early Sunday morning and continue falling and remain below
flood stage.
- Flood stage is 16.5 feet.

Instruction:
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
