Description:
* WHAT...A brief period of damaging winds up to 60 mph.
* WHERE...Central Cook, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, Northern
Cook, Northern Will, Southern Cook, and Southern Will Counties.
* WHEN...Until 4 PM CDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines.
Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong and damaging winds associated with
dissipating thunderstorms will result in brief period of locally
strong winds up to 60 mph.
Instruction:
Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.
