...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Embarras River at Lawrenceville affecting Lawrence County.
.River levels continue to fall, and the Embarras River should be
below flood stage this afternoon. While a secondary rise is expected
mid week due to upcoming rainfall, additional flooding not
anticipated at this time.
The following forecasts are based on observed precipitation, soil
moisture conditions, and forecast precipitation.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Embarras River at Lawrenceville.
* WHEN...Until this evening.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 9:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 30.4 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 9:45 AM CDT Monday was 31.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
this afternoon and continue falling to 21.2 feet Thursday,
May 14.
- Flood stage is 30.0 feet.
