...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Illinois... Fox River at Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater affecting Kane, McHenry and Lake IL Counties. For the Fox River (Illinois)...including Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecasted to occur. * WHERE...Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in St. Charles, including the Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater gauge. * WHEN...Until tomorrow evening. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Winaki Trail and Onaway Trail are threatened south of Algonquin. Athletic fields inundated at Judson College in Elgin. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 9.8 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon and continue falling to 7.9 feet Monday, May 11. - Flood stage is 9.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.4 feet on 07/18/2024. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
