River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River at Valley City. * WHEN...Until Sunday, May 10. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, The road to Norbut Fish and Wildlife area is flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.2 feet and falling. - Recent Activity...The river rose above flood stage on April 27. It crested near 15.4 feet on May 1. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Friday evening and continue falling over the following days. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
