...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Illinois River at Valley City.
Illinois River at Hardin.
River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast
precipitation for the next 24 hours.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Illinois River at Valley City.
* WHEN...Until Sunday, May 10.
* IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, The road to Norbut Fish and Wildlife area
is flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 8:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.2 feet and falling.
- Recent Activity...The river rose above flood stage on April 27.
It crested near 15.4 feet on May 1.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Friday
evening and continue falling over the following days.
- Flood stage is 14.0 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars
through flooded areas.
