* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Montgomery County in south central Illinois... * WHEN...Until 615 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1216 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain in the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Litchfield, Hillsboro, Nokomis, Raymond, Witt, White Oak, Farmersville, Taylor Springs, Coffeen, Schram City, Van Burensburg, Irving, Panama, Fillmore, Coalton, Waggoner, Harvel, Donnellson, Butler and Ohlman. - This includes the following State Parks... Lake Lou Yaeger. This includes Interstate 55 in Illinois between exits 52 and 63.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
