...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Rock River at Moline affecting Rock Island and Henry IL Counties.
Rock River near Joslin affecting Rock Island, Henry IL and
Whiteside Counties.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Rock River at Moline.
* WHEN...Until Thursday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 13.2 feet, Water affects 60th Street south of John
Deere Road in Moline and 56th Ave from Green Valley Park 48th St.
Water is on Canal Road in Big Island. Smith's Island is affected
by flood waters.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 6:30 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 13.2 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 6:30 PM CDT Saturday was 13.5 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
Thursday morning and continue falling to 11.4 feet Saturday,
May 02.
- Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
Instruction:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
