...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois... Rock River at Rockton affecting Winnebago County. Rock River at Latham Park affecting Winnebago County. Pecatonica River near Shirland affecting Winnebago County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and is forecasted to continue. * WHERE...Pecatonica River from Winnebago County line downstream to confluence with the Rock River, including the Shirland gauge. * WHEN...Until Sunday evening. * IMPACTS...At 12.0 feet, Low-lying sections of the Winnebago County Fairgrounds are inundated. Low-lying sections of Rivers Edge Campground are inundated east of Shirland. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 12.7 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT Friday was 13.2 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early Sunday afternoon and continue falling to 9.8 feet Friday, May 01. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
