...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois... Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Lake IL and Cook Counties. Des Plaines River near Des Plaines affecting Cook County. Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County. Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County. For the Des Plaines River...including Des Plaines, Russell, Lincolnshire, Gurnee...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Residential structures threatened along Russell Road between the river and Kilbourne Road. Industrial parking lots threatened along Kilbourne Road. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 8.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The river stage fell below moderate flood stage overnight and continues a slow fall. - Forecast...The river is expected to gradually fall over the next several days. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
