Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County. Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and forecasted to continue. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from Palatine Road in Prospect Heights downstream to Irving Park Road in Chicago, including the Des Plaines gauge. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 18.5 feet, Big Bend Road threatened in Des Plaines. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 7:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 17.9 feet. - Forecast...The river appears to be close to cresting. It is expected to begin falling by tomorrow afternoon, but will remain above flood stage through much of the week. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
