...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Pecatonica River at Freeport affecting Stephenson County.
Rock River at Como affecting Whiteside County.
Rock River at Moline affecting Rock Island and Henry IL Counties.
Rock River near Joslin affecting Whiteside, Rock Island and Henry
IL Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Rock River at Como.
* WHEN...Until Saturday, April 25.
* IMPACTS...At 12.8 feet, Water begins to encroach into properties
on Regan Road northeast of Como.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 12.2 feet and rising.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
just after midnight tonight to a crest of 13.9 feet Monday
evening. It will then fall below flood stage Friday evening.
- Flood stage is 12.5 feet.
Instruction:
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
The next statement will be issued by Sunday evening at 815 PM CDT.
