Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Cook and Lake IL
Counties.
Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County.
...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County.
* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from IL/WI state line downstream to
US-41 in Gurnee, including the Russell gauge.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 9.5 feet, Residential structures threatened along
Russell Road between the river and Kilbourne Road. Industrial
parking lots threatened along Kilbourne Road.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.5 feet.
- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
ending at 11:30 AM CDT Saturday was 9.5 feet. The river is
now cresting.
- Forecast...The river is expected to begin a slow fall by late
tonight.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
9.5 feet on 06/11/2008.
