Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Cook and Lake IL Counties. * WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from US-41 in Gurnee downstream to Townline Road in Vernon Hills, including the Gurnee gauge. * WHEN...Until Friday, April 24. * IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Residences threatened along Kilbourne Road and near O'Plaine Road and McClure Avenue in Gurnee. Businesses threatened along Old Grand Avenue near IL-132 in Gurnee. IL-132 (Grand Avenue) is threatened east of the river in Gurnee. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 9.4 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 PM CDT Friday was 9.4 feet. The river has begun to rise due to recent rainfall. - Forecast...The river is expected to crest near 10.0 feet on Sunday. - Flood stage is 7.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.8 feet on 05/20/2020. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
