...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois... Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County. Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Cook and Lake IL Counties. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from Townline Road in Libertyville downstream to Palatine Road in Prospect Heights, including the Lincolnshire gauge. * WHEN...Until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Residences threatened east of the river just south of IL-22 (Half-Day Road). Lincolnshire Drive threatened at Wiltshire Lane. At 15.0 feet, Structures threatened along IL-22 (Half-Day Road) just east of the river. Multiple structures threatened near and west of US-45 (Milwaukee Avenue) and Deerfield Road. Deerfield Road threatened near the river. Multiple trails inundated in Half-Day Forest Preserve. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 PM CDT Friday the stage was 13.8 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 PM CDT Friday was 13.8 feet. The river has begun to rise due to recent rainfall. - Forecast...The river is now expected to crest near 15.0 feet late Saturday due to recent rainfall. - Flood stage is 12.5 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.1 feet on 09/14/2019. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
