River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 24 hours. * WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Illinois River at Hardin. * WHEN...From Sunday afternoon until further notice. * IMPACTS...At 25.0 feet, Flood Stage. Lowland flooding of unprotected agricultural land begins. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 24.6 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early Sunday afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 26.4 feet Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
Instruction: 
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted. The National Weather Service will monitor this developing situation and issue follow up statements as conditions change.
