...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Illinois... Des Plaines River at Lincolnshire affecting Lake IL and Cook Counties. Des Plaines River near Des Plaines affecting Cook County. Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County. Des Plaines River near Russell affecting Lake IL County. For the Des Plaines River...including Russell, Gurnee, Lincolnshire, Des Plaines...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Des Plaines River from Townline Road in Libertyville downstream to Palatine Road in Prospect Heights, including the Lincolnshire gauge. * WHEN...Until early Wednesday morning. * IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Residences threatened east of the river just south of IL-22 (Half-Day Road). Lincolnshire Drive threatened at Wiltshire Lane. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 13.5 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 PM CDT Thursday was 13.5 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.5 feet early Saturday afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.5 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
