...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Fox River at Montgomery affecting Kane and Kendall Counties.
...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Illinois...
Fox River at Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater affecting Kane, Lake
IL and McHenry Counties.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
forecast.
* WHERE...Fox River from Johnsburg downstream to Red Gate Road in
St. Charles, including the Algonquin Lock & Dam tailwater gauge.
* WHEN...Until further notice.
* IMPACTS...At 10.5 feet, Structures threatened along Fox River
Drive in East Dundee. Parking lots threatened in downtown West
Dundee. Low-lying sections of Cornish Park are inundated in
Algonquin. Low-lying sections of Trout Park inundated north of
Elgin.
At 11.0 feet, Structures threatened near Elgin Avenue and Corey
Street south of East Dundee. Lincoln Avenue threatened in West
Dundee. Filip Street and Fox River Drive threatened in Algonquin.
Fox River Trail threatened south of downtown Elgin.
At 11.5 feet, Residences threatened along Oceola Drive in
Algonquin. A few residences threatened along McBridge Street in
Elgin. Jayne Street and Beach Drive threatened in Algonquin. River
Street threatened in East Dundee. Jerusha Avenue threatened in
Elgin. Fox River Trail threatened between East Dundee and Elgin.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 11:30 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 10.3 feet.
- Recent Activity...The river has continued to slowly rise to
near moderate flood stage.
- Forecast...The river is expected to continue a slow rise over
the next several days. The river may crest near 11.5 by early
next week.
- Flood stage is 9.5 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
11.4 feet on 09/17/2019.

Instruction:
A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or
may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the
warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property.
