...The National Weather Service in Chicago IL has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...
Des Plaines River near Gurnee affecting Lake IL County.
For the Des Plaines River...including Gurnee...Minor flooding is
forecast.
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Des Plaines River from US-41 in Gurnee downstream to
Townline Road in Vernon Hills, including the Gurnee gauge.
* WHEN...From early this morning to Monday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 7.0 feet, Forest land inundated near the river in
Gurnee.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 3:30 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 7.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of just
under 8 feet tomorrow evening and is expected to remain above
flood stage into the weekend.
- Flood stage is 7.0 feet.

Instruction:
A Flood Warning means water levels above flood stage are imminent or
may already be occurring. Persons along rivers and streams in the
warned area should take immediate precautions to protect life and
property.
These forecasts are based on observed precipitation as well as

rainfall forecast, or any additional rainfall after 24 hours, may
cause changes to these river forecasts.
