Description:
At 655 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms 12 miles west of Plummer, or 22 miles southeast of
Cheney, moving northwest at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Tekoa, Fairfield, Rockford, Spangle, Latah, Farmington, Tensed,
Waverly, and Valleyford.
This includes the following highways...
U.S. Highway 95 in Idaho between mile markers 382 and 390.
U.S. Highway 195 in Washington between mile markers 79 and 84.
Instruction:
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight PDT for
the Panhandle of Idaho...and eastern and northeastern Washington.
