At 854 PM PDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Ponderay, or near Sandpoint, moving northwest at 30 mph. HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Sandpoint, Ponderay, Kootenai, Dover, Colburn, Schweitzer Mountain, and Coolin. This includes the following highways... U.S. Highway 95 in Idaho between mile markers 473 and 486. U.S. Highway 2 in Idaho between mile markers 23 and 28.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight PDT for the Panhandle of Idaho.
