Description:
* WHAT...For the Lake Wind Advisory for American Falls Reservoir,
north winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph expected. Higher
gusts are possible with showers and thunderstorms. For the Frost
Advisory, temperatures of 32 to 36 degrees will result in frost
formation. More rural areas could briefly drop to 30, while areas
along I 15 may stay above 36.
* WHERE...Lower Snake River Plain.
* WHEN...For the Lake Wind Advisory, until 9 PM MDT this evening.
For the Frost Advisory, from 3 AM to 9 AM MDT Friday.
* IMPACTS...Strong winds and rough waves on area lakes, including
American Falls Reservoir, will create hazardous conditions for
small craft. Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation.
Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered.
Instruction:
Boaters on area lakes should use extra caution since strong winds
and rough waves can overturn small craft.
Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.
