...TEMPERATURES SLOWLY WARMING BUT IMPACTS CONTINUE IN CENTRAL
WISCONSIN...
.The combination of increasing sun angle and warming temperatures is
resulting in any icy spots on roadways melting. However, trees and
power lines may continue to be iced over for several more hours.
Please exercise caution if you encounter any downed trees or power
lines. Stay alert for falling trees and limbs.
* WHAT...Significant icing. Additional ice accumulations around a
light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Clark and Taylor Counties.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Difficult travel conditions are possible. Icing may
result in downed trees and power lines.
Instruction:
Travel is strongly discouraged. If you must travel, keep an extra
flashlight, food and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
Prepare for possible power outages. Visit 511wi.gov for road
conditions.
