Description:
* WHAT...West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 55 mph Saturday
afternoon. Winds will shift northwest late Saturday evening with
gusts up to 65 mph possible through Sunday early afternoon.
* WHERE...Banner County and Kimball County.
* WHEN...From late Saturday night through Sunday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...Mainly to transportation. Strong cross winds will be
hazardous to light weight or high profile vehicles, including
campers and tractor trailers.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing dust could lead to reduced
visibility. In addition, new wildfire starts will spread very
rapidly under dry and windy conditions.
Instruction:
A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous high
wind event. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 MPH or gusts of 58
MPH or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest forecasts.
