* WHAT...West winds with gusts of 50 to 70 mph expected. Locally higher gusts are possible. * WHERE...In Montana, Bighorn Canyon, Red Lodge Foothills, and Southern Big Horn. In Wyoming, Sheridan Foothills. * WHEN...Until 9 PM MDT this evening. * IMPACTS...Extreme wind gusts could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult for high profile vehicles. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strong winds are expected during the day today. However, there is a chance of mountain wave activity producing strong wind in the immediate foothills into this morning.
Instruction: 
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution and consider postponing travel until winds subside, or take an alternate route.
