Description:
* WHAT...Southwest to west wind gusts of 60 to 80 mph expected.
* WHERE...Beartooth Foothills and Livingston Area.
* WHEN...From 3 PM this afternoon to 9 PM MDT Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Strong to dangerous crosswinds will make travel difficult
along Interstate 90 from Livingston to Big Timber and roads along
the Beartooth Foothills. Damaging winds could blow down trees and
power lines. Power outages are possible. The warm and windy
conditions could cause rapid fire spread in grasses.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds are expected early
Thursday through mid day Thursday.
Instruction:
People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around
or damaged by the wind.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution and consider postponing travel
until winds subside, or take an alternate route.
