...HIGH SURF ADVISORY FOR SOUTH FACING SHORES OF ALL HAWAIIAN
ISLANDS...
.A series of long-period south-southwest swells building tonight
and Tuesday will bring large surf to south-facing shores from
Tuesday through at least Wednesday night.
* WHAT...Surf rising to 8 to 12 feet.
* WHERE...South facing shores of all Hawaiian Islands.
* WHEN...From 6 AM Tuesday to 6 AM HST Thursday.
* IMPACTS...Moderate. Strong breaking waves and strong currents
will make swimming dangerous.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Moderate. Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers
should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and
exercise caution. Boaters should expect recreational surfers and
body boarders utilizing harbor channels to access surfing areas.
Instruction:
Heed all advice from ocean safety officials. When in doubt, don't
go out.
