...FLOOD WATCH CANCELLED FOR KAUAI AND NIIHAU... ...FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR BIG ISLAND THROUGH 6 AM HST... ...FLOOD WATCH HAS BEEN EXTENDED FOR OAHU, MOLOKAI, LANAI, AND MAUI THROUGH 6 AM HST... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall has already occurred and continues to be possible through tonight. * WHERE...Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and Kahoolawe. * WHEN...Through 6 AM HST Saturday morning. * IMPACTS...Flood prone roads and other low lying areas may be closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to rapid runoff. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - An upper level low and associated surface boundary will provide conditions favorable for heavy rain through tonight. Heavy rain has already been observed over portions of the watch area, and conditions will not change much overnight. Therefore, the watch is being extended in time.
