Description:
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...The island of Hawaii in Hawaii County.
* WHEN...Until 1030 AM HST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 813 AM HST, radar indicated heavy rain over windward and
southeast Big Island with the heaviest rain over the Kau
district. Rain was falling at a rate of 1 to 1.5 inches per
hour. Civil Defense has reported a road closure in Wood
Valley due to heavy rain. Additional heavy showers are
expected to move in this morning.

Hilo, Hawaiian Paradise Park, Kapaau, Honokaa, Volcano,
Glenwood, Mountain View, Hawaiian Acres, Keaau, Papaikou,
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, Pepeekeo, Honomu, Orchidlands
Estates, Hakalau, Ninole, Laupahoehoe, Wood Valley and Pahoa.
Instruction:
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.
Do not cross fast flowing or rising water in your vehicle, or on
foot. Turn around, don't drown.
